The Advantages of Registering and Booking with The Society

Value for Your Clients:

It's a fact, the vacation homes offered by The Society offer your clients more space and value at a reduced cost when compared to a hotel room or multiple rooms when your clients are traveling with family or friends. Two examples include the "Family of Five" and the "Group of 8".

Multiple Ways to Search:

Sometimes you know exactly want your client wants and you can search for it and for those times use our search portal. Other times you want some help. We are one click away or one phone call away. Just fill out our Vacation Match Maker form and we will bring suggestions back to you based on your client's specifications.

Commission for You:

At The Society, we understand the compensation structure for travel agents. Even though we know as travel agents, compensation is secondary to your client's wishes and happiness, we offer the following commission plan for the majority of our homes available to travel agents bookings.

Based on the date of your registration with The Society, the agent's fiscal/booking year begins:

  • One (1) to Four (4) Bookings: Five (5%) Percent Commission on the Net Rental
  • Five (5) to Nine (9) Bookings: Eight (8%) Percent Commission on the Net Rental
  • Ten (10) or More Bookings: Ten (10%) Percent Commission on the Net Rental

In addition, those registered Travel Agents who book 10 or more vacation residences during their fiscal year, our "High Volume" partners receive the following enhanced benefits:

First reservations priority concerning "in demand" properties regardless of season:

This is important for your client's who may wish to visit St. Barts during Christmas Week or Aspen during President's Weekend. Or maybe it's the summer vacationer who desires the "it" house on Cape Cod, The Hamptons or Hilton Head for the month of August.

Override Commissions:

In appreciation and recognition for our "High Volume" partners, override commissions will be provided based on availability.

Premier personalized "amenities package" for their clients:

In our ski resort properties, this amenity may be a "welcome" pre-arrival casual dinner. A favorite of our clients is beginning with chips and guacamole followed by chili con carne with homemade corn muffins and finished off with all the fixin's for Smore's. In our beach resort properties, two bottles of the local rum/tequila, a tropical fruit basket and local handmade ice cream in the freezer. The options are endless, advise us your client's preferences and we will execute all with a personalized note from their travel agent.

VIP FAM Opportunities for Agents and their Families and Friends:

We feel education and personal experience with our homes is the most powerful sales tool. Unlike most FAMS which are restricted to the agent and one other or worse, an agent only FAM, we wish for you to experience our homes the way your client will. Bring your family or a group of friends. Let your family and friends experience "the fruits of your labor".

Piece of Mind:

In the late 1950's Howard Johnson decided to revamp the hotel industry by branding his hotels and motels with his name. His rationale, when a family is traveling, they wish for lodging that meets certain standards and has uniform consistency from coast to coast. Howard Johnson's legacy has offered us many branded hotel chains to choose from depending on the client's desires and budget.

However, with the "Vacation Home", you may be "at the mercy" of a picture on a web-site and a Google map. Have you ever come across from the following:

  • "Just steps from the beach" - assuming crossing an Interstate Highway is OK with the guest.
  • "Rustic old-world charm" - last renovated prior to World War II
  • "Just minutes from the ski trail" - by car from the parking garage at $20/day.
  • "Open vista and quiet nights await you" - since the county cemetery is the neighbor.
  • "Mid-Century Modern for the Design Purist" - right down to the black & white TV and rabbit-ears.
  • "High Speed Internet Available" - assuming the neighbor is on-line and is not secured.

Notification of Specials and Bonus Commissions:

Once registered with The Society, we will communicate with you concerning "Specials" which we provide to Travel Agents prior to offering to "client directs". In addition, you will be notified of properties offering enhanced commissions.

Co-Op Communication:

In early 2009 we will have a questionnaire for our TA partners asking what regions of the world and style of accommodations are desired by their clients. Once we have this information, we can send customized opportunities via e-mail designed to be SENT BY YOU to your client and an enticement to 1) contact you, their valued travel consultant and 2) book their vacation through you. We do not desire to procure your client, you are our partner and we will make an effort to assist you in increasing sales and generating commissions.
